Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CodeFluent web application ("Service") operated by CodeFluent ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Account
To use CodeFluent, you must sign in using a supported third-party provider (Google, GitHub, or Discord). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
2. Service Description
CodeFluent is a practice tool for programming syntax fluency. It generates code exercises using AI and uses spaced repetition to help you retain what you learn. The Service is provided "as is" — we do not guarantee that exercises will be error-free, that AI-generated content will always be correct, or that the Service will be available without interruption.
3. Credits
Certain features of the Service require credits. Credits are consumed when you generate or practice exercises. We reserve the right to modify credit pricing, allocations, and the features that require credits at any time.
Credits have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or refunded except as required by law.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service
- Abuse the AI features by submitting harmful, offensive, or malicious content
- Share your account with others or create multiple accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Intellectual Property
The CodeFluent service, including its design, code, and branding, is our property. AI-generated exercises are created for your personal learning use. You may not redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit generated content.
Your practice submissions and answers remain yours, but you grant us a limited license to process them through our AI systems for the purpose of providing the Service.
6. AI-Generated Content
CodeFluent uses AI to generate exercises and grade responses. AI output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unexpected results. You should not rely on AI-generated feedback as authoritative. We are not liable for any decisions or actions taken based on AI-generated content.
7. Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeFluent and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of CodeFluent after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction in which we operate.
